Skip to content I went to Kuala Lumpur (KL) and Singapore September last year to get some inspiration for Lina’s Music House. I met a large group of entrepreneurs who taught me many things about life and business. The September trip was a life changing moment for me and so after six months, I decided to go KL again with my brother for business. “A picture is worth a thousand words” I like to keep a visual diary of my business travels. Here I would like to share with you some of the highlights of my KL trip in May 2014.
The Petronas Twin Towers is Kuala Lumpur’s crown jewel. Majestic by day and dazzling at night, We stayed at the Concorde Hotel which was only a ten minute walk to KLCC. The gym had an amazing interior design and a beautiful view of the pool. The best set up and view during an early morning gym work out.
A nicely designed pool surrounded by palm trees. All the displays in KL shopping centres are massive. The Batu Caves is a limestone hill that has a series of caves and cave temples. The limestone forming Batu Caves is said to be around 400 million years old.
The Batu Caves has around 272 steps. It is nothing compared to 1000 Steps Kokoda Walk, Mt Dandenong in Victoria. If you can do the 1000 steps then the Batu Cave steps would be just a stroll in the park.
Time for a selfie with my brother inside the Batu Cave. One of my favourite photos from the KL trip. We moved to the Park Royal Serviced Apartments a few days after our stay at the Concorde Hotel. The interior design here is one of the best I’ve seen so far in KL. I am fascinated by interior design wherever I go. I am fascinated by creative landscaping also. The Park Royal Serviced Apartments was one of the most luxurious apartments I have stayed in so far. The pictures speak for themselves. Open space living Modern design Spacious storage spaces Large floor space Relaxing design Amazing skypool at the highest level of the hotel that overlooks the city of KL and the Petronas Twin Towers. Amazing view overlooking the KL city and the Petronas Twin Towers.
Apart from staying in KL, our friends took us to Malacca. Malacca is the third smallest Malaysian state after Perlis and Penang. It is around a two hour drive from KL. Malaysians are willing to travel for hours for good food. Our friends took us to a very popular Satay Skewer Hotpot place in Malacca. It was amazing and different to what we have in Melbourne.
We went to the Malacca night market after dinner.I decided to get some Henna Art done at the night market. Henna Art has existed for more than 5000 years, Cultures of henna art spread from India to Africa to the Middle East have embraced the art of henna body decoration-for fashion and beauty, for personal expression, for social and religious occasions, for healing purposes and more.
Since the mid-1990s henna body art has enjoyed a vogue throughout the U.S. and Europe. Popularized by artists, actors, fashion models and musicians, it has been discovered by thousands of interested individuals from all backgrounds. Henna is all natural, safe, temporary and painless – a unique way to decorate your personality, spirit and body with henna art symbols.

To all you car lovers, KL car dealerships loves to showcase all their range of cars inside the shopping centre. Which one do you like? When displaying one car is just not enough in a KL shopping centre. The more the better! I am fascinated by different interior designs. I am fascinated by this elegant garden like interior design. KL is known for their many levels of shopping experiences. We decided to dine at the Grand Hyatt on our second last night stay in KL. There was an amazing night view of the Petronas Twin Towers. Grand Hyatt’s ( Kuala Lumpur) Signature Dessert
We decided to dine at the Grand Hyatt on our second last night stay in KL. Amazing interior design. My brother Johnny and I at the Grand Hyatt. Amazing view of the Petronas Twin Towers. I’m here with two other beautiful girls – Huey Jer and Huey Ling. The cocktails here are very cheap! Around $9 AUD for a fancy cocktail. Amazing view Love you people long time Thank you to all my friends and business partners who made this KL trip an unforgettable one. Supper time after Grand Hyatt. Saying our final good byes. Last minute shopping at H&M before leaving for the airport. I walked out of the change rooms and found my brother sitting with everyone else sitting like this. Bye KL!
