Simple healthy meals – Fried Rice

Rice has many health benefits. Both brown and white rice contain similar amounts of calories. However, in terms of vitamins and minerals, brown rice is a good source of vitamins. Rice contains all the amino acids essential for building and maintaining muscle tissue, and make up antibodies, enzymes, and hormones. These amino acids also help maintain healthy skin, hair, eyesight, and nourish the heart, lungs, tendons, ligaments, brain, nervous system and glands.

 

Ingredients

Serves: 4 people

1 can of Spam ham

4  bowls of overnight brown rice or white rice

2 cups of frozen peas

3 beaten eggs

Half a chopped red onion

Chinese chives

Minced garlic

Soy sauce to taste

 

Method

Step 1.

Cut Spam ham into cubes and fry in a pan till crispy.

Step 2.

Place ham aside and use the same pan to cook onion and egg to your liking.

Step 3.

Fry rice with the onion and egg on high heat. Add soy sauce to your desire to level.

Step 4.

Add peas, ham, garlic, minced garlic and chinese chives to the pan. Fry for an extra 10-15minutes or until your liking.

Step 5.

Turn off heat and add spring onion.
